Who We Are

Our Mission

Why

The Funeral Consumers Alliance of Western Pennsylvania, founded in 1958 as the Pittsburgh Memorial Society is the 501c3 non-profit, non-sectarian association of more than 2,000 members. We help Western Pennsylvanians through a difficult time with information on options and tips for planning. We are affiliated with the National Funeral Consumers Alliance, a federation of over 39 affiliates in the United States and Canada.

The mission of FCAWP is to educate and advocate for the promotion of dignity and individual determination and economy with end-of-life issues in Western Pennsylvania.

Planning your funeral in advance is a responsible and considerate act, relieving your family of complex decisions during a time of emotional vulnerability. Our services provide the knowledge, resources, and options necessary to reduce costs and create an enduring memorial or charitable contribution.
